King Von, Also Known As Dayvon Daquan Bennett, Was A Rising Rapper From Chicago’s South Side

King von, also known as Dayvon Daquan Bennett, was an up-and-coming rapper on the cusp of greatness. A natural storyteller, he brought empathy and cinematic sensibilities into Chicago rap scenes that otherwise lack them.

On November 6th, King Von was killed during a fight outside an Atlanta hookah lounge and was only 26 years old at the time of his death.

1. Born on August 9, 1994

Dayvon Daquan Bennett, known professionally as King Von, was an American rapper from Chicago’s South Side who gained widespread acclaim as an emerging talent with several hit tracks under his belt and signed to Lil Durk’s record label, Only the Family.

His debut single War With Us was released in 2016 and quickly attained success, but it was his follow-up single Crazy Story which truly established himself as an artistic force to be reckoned with.

His song’s captivating narrative of an attempted robbery-turned-shootout gained millions of views on YouTube, leading to signing with Lil Durk’s Only The Family record label.

King Von was an artist and philanthropist who contributed both musically and personally to charitable causes, using his music to address social concerns like gun violence and poverty; covering funeral costs for friends killed due to gunshot injuries as well as covering funeral costs associated with their deaths. On November 6, 2020, Von was shot and killed outside Monaco Hookah Lounge in downtown Atlanta during an argument involving several men which escalated to gunfire. The incident reportedly stemmed from an ongoing feud between Von and Quando Rondo. A week after the shooting, Rondo released several videos depicting what he believes happened that night; these led directly to Timothy Leeks being arrested on murder charges.

Asian Doll and King Von had a short-lived yet significant relationship. She was devastated to hear of his passing away and took to social media as an outlet to vent her feelings of grief.

She shared several tragic tweets about her husband. In one, she wrote “This man was my soulmate”, before detailing how devastated she felt by his sudden death due to gunfire outside a nightclub.

Misharron Jermeisha Allen, known by her stage name Asian Doll, is an American rapper who shot to prominence after the release of her debut mixtape Da Rise of Barbie Doll Gang Empire in 2015. Since then she has released multiple additional mixtapes and EPs.

Her rivalries extend to other rappers such as King Von. Recently she appeared on the No Jumper podcast where she talked about their brief romance which ultimately ended due to cheating allegations.

4. Children

King von autopsy is survived by two children after his tragic murder, according to Track, his manager. According to him, before his passing he kept all his business affairs in order. This included keeping hold of all master records he owned as well as not selling any publishing, enabling him to set up trust funds for them upon his passing.
